The Constituency chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress in the Akyem Swedru Constituency, Daniel Mintah Amoah has  advised candidates sitting for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination(BECE) in the Birim South District to record 100% pass for the District. According to him, this will enable the pupils to enjoy the Free SHS policy implemented by the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government. He  pleaded with the candidates to take advantage of what they have been taught in school and reproduce them during the exams.

Mr. Mintah Amoah added that people in the district will be very happy if the overall best student in this year’s BECE can come from the District.

 

Mr. Mintah Amoah was speaking to the press after he had joined the NPP Member of Parliament for the Constituency and the deputy Minister of Agriculture, Kennedy Osei Nyarko to distribute Mathematical Sets to all candidates sitting for this year’s BECE in the District. The  Akyem Swedru legislator and his entourage including the NDC chairman met the BECE candidates at a program organized by some teachers dubbed ”Candidates’ time with the Examiner for the candidates.

The Member of Parliament for Akyem Swedru Constituency, Kennedy Osei Nyarko reiterated the call made by Mr. Amoah by urging the BECE candidates to perform well in the upcoming BECE exams so that they can benefit from the president’s free SHS policy.

He advised the candidates to desist from examination malpractices so that they don’t get their examination cancelled.

Some of the candidates speaking with the press expressed their gratitude to the MP and the organizers of the program for the inspiration before their exams.

Meanwhile a teacher of Akyem Swedru Methodist JHS, Madam Matilda Asante speaking on behalf of the organizers said their motive behind for the program is to teach the candidates how to approach the question they will be meeting at the exams hall and then to take fear out of them during the exams.
