The Guinness World Records has explained the reason behind their delay in announcing Chef Hilda Baci as the new record breaker for the longest cooking hours.
Chef Hilda Baci, a renowned Nigerian chef, made headlines on social media after breaking the Guinness World Record for marathon cooking. The previous record was held by Lata Tondon, an Indian chef, who cooked continuously for 87 hours and 45 minutes.
In her bid to surpass the previous record, Hilda Baci aimed to cook for a total of 96 hours but ended up cooking for 100hours.
However, despite reaching the 87th hour, many fans and supporters anticipated an official announcement from the Guinness World Records declaring Hilda Baci as the new title holder.
One fan reached out to the Guinness World Records on Twitter, seeking clarification on why there had been no acknowledgment of Hilda’s accomplishment.
In response, the Guinness World Records stated that they need to thoroughly review all the evidence to ensure that Hilda Baci has complied with all the rules and regulations before officially confirming her record-breaking achievement.
