The General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the ongoing voters’ registration exercise.
According to Mr Boadu, the level of comportment by Ghanaians in the exercise and the strict adherence to the Covid-19 safety protocols speak of how the Ghanaian democracy has grown and how understanding the Ghanaian is.
The NPP General Secretary was speaking in the Eastern Region on Sunday when he took his nationwide monitoring of the ongoing registration exercise to the region.
Visitation
Accompanied by two national deputy communication directors, Maame Yaa Aboagye and Yaw Preko, and some Eastern Regional Executives of the party, Mr Boadu visited the Akuapem North, Okere, Yilo Krobo, Lower Manya Krobo and Asougyaman constituencies.
In the Akuapem North constituency, he visited the Presby Primary Registration Centre, Presby JHS Registration Centre and Temporal Booth Registration Centre, all in Amanakrom; the Methodist Primary School Registration Centre, in Tutu; and the Otubromu Registration Centre in Mampong.
In Okere, Mr Boadu and his entourage visited Aseseso Methodist Primary Registration Centre, Nifa SHS Registration Centre and Methodist Chapel Square 1 and 2 registration centres in Adukrom.
He also visited the Social Centre, the Mennonite Church and the Sawer registration centres in the Yilo Krobo constituency.
The NPP General Secretary further visited Kodjonya Presby Primary 1 and 2 and Accra Station 1 and 2 registration centres in Odumase, in the Lower Manya Krobo constituency, before wrapping up the day’s tour at Osiabura L/A Presby Primary and Asikuma Clinic registration centres, in the Asougyaman constituency.
Mr Boadu, as part of the tour, held discussions with the various constituency officers of the party in the areas visited.
