The National Women Organiser of the governing New Patriotic Party, Kate Gyamfua, has sent congratulatory message to all women who participated in the party’s just ended parliamentary primaries.
Some 51 women contested in the party’s primaries held over the weekend. According to Ms Gyamfua, the party’s women’s wing appreciates them for paving the way for women.
“To our gallant women who won and those who lost, the Women’s Wing is proud of you and appreciates you for engaging in such tough battles to pave way for the next generation of women to study and learn from,” she said.
“The Wing is solidly behind you and would support you in any way possible to ensure victory in December 2020 and beyond,” she assured.
Congratulations
In a statement released on Saturday, soon after the party’s primaries in constituencies with sitting Members of Parliament, Ms Gyamfua further congratulated the party for a peaceful, free, fair and credible process.
“Congratulations to all the parliamentary aspirants who emerged victorious in today’s primaries. Indeed, all aspirants have shown true party spirit and the tenets of democracy by contesting in the elections to ensure that the best candidate wins. To those who couldn’t make it, better luck next time. You worked hard and did your best, but only God knows best!” she stated.
