The National Women Organiser of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kate Gyamfua, and the party’s Parliamentary Candidate for the Wa Central Constituency, Hajia Humu Awudu, over the weekend presented some items to the Wa Municipal Hospital to aid them in their health delivery and to help the fight against the novel coronavirus disease.
The items include 30 packets of bottled water, 30 packets of t-rolls, gallons of detergents, wheel chairs, walking sticks, diapers among others.
Presenting the items, Ms Gyamfua explained that in the times that the country finds itself, it must take a collective effort of all Ghanaians to fight the pandemic hence the donation. She urged the hospital authorities to ensure that all patients adhere to the various safety protocols given by the Ghana Health Service and the World Health Organisation in ensuring protection of the staff and patients of the hospital.
Appreciation
Hajia Humu on her part used the opportunity to express her “sincere appreciation to all health workers in the Municipal Hospital and across the region for their relentless efforts through the show of professionalism at the discharge of their duties in these trying times”.
She also pleaded with staff and patients of the hospital to continue to adhere to the protocols and directives given by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The Health Administrator of the hospital on behalf of the Medical Director, expressed joy and gratitude for the gesture which he said will help augment their health needs in the facility.
Among many party faithfuls who were present for the presentation were the NPP Regional Organizer, Regional Women Organizer and her Deputy, Constituency Women Organizer and her Deputy.
