The National Women Organiser of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kate Gyamfua, last week, over turned Damongo,the regional Capital of Savannah when she took her working visit to that part of the country.

Ms Gyamfua has been visiting the regions in the North where she has been making donations to some hospitals and encouraging the party’s women’s wing to rise to the occasion ahead of the 2020 general election and especially as the country awaits the new voters’ registration exercise scheduled to start at June 30.

Triumphant entry

Ms Gyamfua was received into the region by the Savannah Regional Minister, his deputy, Savannah executives of the NPP, among a host of other party loyalists and enthusiasts.

In strict compliance to the president’s directives on public gathering and social distancing, met different groups to encourage them to work hard to help the party secure more parliamentary seat in the 2020 general election.

Meeting with the various constituency women organizers, she urged  them to work hard to increase President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s percentage votes in the area while helping the party win more parliamentary seats.

Donations

Like she has been doing in other regions up North, the NPP women organizer, in the company of the Savannah Regional Women Organiser of the party, Hajia Safia Mohammed, and some other Regional executives, donated some items to the Damongo Town Hospital.

The donation is to help the hospital fight the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Presenting the items, Ms Gyamfua urged staff and patients of the hospital to adhere to all the safety protocols outlined by the health experts to protect themselves from the deadly pandemic.

She also made some donation to the party’s constituency women organisers in the region.

The regional women’s wing expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Ms Gyamfua for the visit and the donation, promising to work hard to ensure the NPP succeeds in the general election.
