The National Circles Council (NCC) of Asante Kotoko SC, has filed a complaint at the Greater Accra Regional police Command against journalist Tophic Abdul Kadir Seinu.
This follows allegations made by the journalist against the supporters of the Kumasi based team ahead of its Sunday clash with Dreams FC.
Tophic had alleged on his Facebook timeline that “some Kotoko fans have planned to go to the theatre of dreams and portray like Dreams fc fans who will aggressively protest any decision the match officials take against dream. In fact, they have planned to throw objects on the field when decision of the match officials go against Dreams for Dreams to also receive ban from Dawu or suffer punishment as Kotoko is suffering.”
National Protocol Officer of the NCC, Kwadwo Asante, after the report said, “We are law abiding people and so would not want any of us to indulge in crime during the game. We do not want any problems during the game and so have reported Tophic Seinu to the police. The police must invite him before the game on Sunday and get him to reveal those people hatching the plan so that they can prevent it.
