David Adu Tutu, aka Lawyer JD
A private legal practitioner, David Adu Tutu, last Tuesday filed his nomination to challenge the incumbent Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, in the upcoming parliamentary primaries of the governing New Patriotic Party, slated for April 25.

Lawyer JD, as Mr Tutu is affectionately called, has promised a clean campaign. His coming into the race has sparked interest in the young constituency situated right at the outskirt of the Greater Accra region.

Banging their hopes on the biblical David verses Goliath story, his supporters have launched a campaign dubbed “Goliath b3ko”, suggesting he is the David that has come to salvage the constituency.

Amidst drumming and dancing, Mr Tutu and his supporters went on a procession across some principal streets of Nsawam before submitting the forms at the constituency office.

The forms were received by Akyea Larbi Micheal, chairman of the council of elders who doubles as the chairman for the constituency election committee. Mr Akyea advised him and his campaign team to conduct their activities with candour and with the interest of the constituency at heart.
