Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality on Thursday 1st August, 2019 commissioned a newly completed 16 seater Public Toilet facility for the Adjikpo Yokunya community.

The short ceremony was witnessed by the traditional leadership of the area led by the Chief of the Area, Nene Tibo IV and the general public as well.

 

Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh in his brief speech entreated the citizens in the area to own the project by taking good care of it since this is the only public place of convenience which will help eradicate the problem of open defecation which has been a great challenge to the Adjikpo Yokunya community over the years.

 

The Hon. MCE continued to assured the gathering of his maximum commitment to develop their area by giving them their fair share of the national cake as the Adjikpo Yokunya R/C JHS is currently receiving a 3-Unit Classroom block with ancillary facility from the Assembly as well as the award process for the construction of the Atua Government Hospital hospital road which will run through the Adjikpo Yokunya community is at an advance stage hoping to see the contractor on site soon.

 

After the successful Commissioning of the public place of convenience, the entire gathering paid a site visit to the construction site of the 3-Unit classroom block which is to support the best performing public school in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality which is the Adjikpo Yokunya R/C school.

 

Nene Tibo IV, Asafoatse of the community in an interview with our team applauded the Hon. MCE and the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for responding to their cries by providing their needs to ease the standard of living in the community which has been greatly challenged with open defecation in the past as he assured to take good care of the facility provided them.

 

Officers from Municipal Assembly and some executive members of the NPP in the Constituency also joined the Hon. MCE for the commissioning ceremony.
