Minister of Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum

The Minister of Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, has commended the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) for its contribution towards the development of education in the country.

Speaking at a forum in Accra on Tuesday, the Minister noted that the huge financial support provided by GETFund to various educational institutions, across the country, have been instrumental in the growth of education in the country.

The forum was organized by GETFund, and brought together stakeholders in the education sector to discuss measures to promote educational development in the country.

The Minister expressed joy over the judicious use of the tax payer’s money by GETFund towards the development of infrastructure and other support initiatives in the education sector.

“You have contributed immensely towards the development of the Free Senior High School policy and through your support we are gradually phasing out the double track system due to the increased investment in school infrastructure,” he said.

Appreciation

The Administrator of GETFund, Dr Richard Ampofo Boadu, expressed appreciation to the stakeholders for their contribution towards the development of the fund.

He assured that the fund would continue to put in place measures to provide the best of support for the development of the nation’s education.

Board Chairman of GETFund, Prof Dominic Fobih, assured the people of the continuous support of GETFund for education in the country.
