A Ghanaian pastor and headpastor of International Central Gospel Church(ICGC), Gbetsile Assembly Evangelist Michael Creg Afful, has prayed for peace for Nigeria as the West African Country elects its next president.
The Nigeria election is currently ongoing across all states of the West African’s biggest country.
The election which was scheduled to have taken place last week was postponed barely three hours to the start of the General election by that country’s election body, INEC.
The election body cited logistics constraints as reasons for the postponement.
Evangelist Creg afful who is also a journalist and works with Accra based Oman fm posted the prayer on his facebook wall.
He also prayed for the Ghana’s opposition party, the National Democratic Congress which is also electing its flagbearer for the 2020 general election today.
Below is the prayer from the Ghanaian Evangelist
Oh Lord God Almighty, you have proven to us that you are a good Father. I praise you for another glorious day. Lord I lift Nigeria before you, and pray that you show Nigerians mercy as they go to pools today, to elect a leader to steer their affairs.
I command wind of peace to prevail there. I deploy angels to take charge in all the polling stations.
I stand in the Authority of the Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ and cancel all the negative prophecies of bloodshed spoken by some men of God. I summon supporters of all the 73 presidential candidates and over 100 governors to you and pray that you hold their hearts.
Holy Spirit I place a demand for the arrest of any group of people with intention to cause violence. I shut the gates of Nigeria to principalities, occultism powers , demons and declare that even those who have already entered scatter by fire and thunder.
Oh Lord let the cloud of your presence cover Nigeria.
I bring officials of INEC, security officers, and observers before you and ask that you cause them to ensure that the elections are held freely and fairly in the Mighty of Jesus Christ.
I now come to Ghana and lift the presidential primaries of the opposition NDC to you and declare peace to prevail in all the voting centres.
I commit all the seven presidential aspirants and their supporters to you and pray that you will hold their hearts and stop any form of chaos. Let any agenda of cheating be exposed by the power in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Peace in Nigeria!
Peace in Ghana!
Shalom!
