
NPP General Secretary John Boadu swears in members of the campaign team
The governing New Patriotic Party over the weekend inaugurated its campaign team in the Western North Region ahead of this year’s general election.
Headed by the regional chairman of the party, William Benjamin Asuah, the team comprises all 17 regional executives.
Other members of the team include the Western North Regional Minister, Kingsley Aboagye-Gyedu; Augustine Blay, of the Office of the Vice-President; Alex Tetteh; Dr Kwaku Afriyie; Anthony Amankwaah; Ben Fosuhene Acheampong; Abanga Fusani; Patricia Ama Badu and Samuel Adu Gyamfi.
The rest are Rocky Obeng, Desmond Tawiah Maclean, Kwasi Blay, Kofi Adusei Mintah, Lt. Col. Anthony Aduhene (Rtd.), Nicholas Andoh, Francis Blay, Pious Abekah, Prince Ampem Darko, Ms Idora Abiaw and Janet Amankwah.
Mandate
The mandate of the team, according to the General Secretary of the party, John Boadu, who inaugurated the committee, is to spearhead the party’s campaign in the region and to help the NPP capture at least two-third of the region’s parliamentary seats.
The team is to also maximize votes for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the December polls.
Mr Boadu asked members of the team to bring their expertise to the table and come out with strategies as well as programme of activities tailored towards achieving the set targets in the upcoming elections.

Speaking on behalf of members of the team, the campaign chairman, William Benjamin Asuah, assured the leadership of the party and its rank and file of their unwavering commitment and readiness to delivering an emphatic victory for the NPP in the Western North Region.
The exercise, which took place at the Sefwi Wiawso Catholic Pastoral Centre, saw the party’s National First Vice-Chairman, FF Anto; the National Nasara Coordinator, Abdul Aziz Futah, as well as Maame Yaa Aboagye and Yaw Preko, both deputy national communications directors of the party, in attendance.
