A businessman, Mr Charles Acheampong , has picked nomination forms to contest for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries in the Lower West Akyem Constituency of the Eastern Region.
The occasion, which could be described as a rally, was characterized by a procession of NPP faithful and sympathizers and also over 200 delegates from the constituency who picked the nomination forms on his behalf through the principal streets of Asamankese amidst brass band music and dance.
Addressing the enthusiastic gathering, Mr. Acheampong said that the party can only win the seat if there was a unity.
He said the party needs unity, love and peace to win the Lower West Akyem seat in 2020.
He opined “If we have unity, love and we work hard, I know victory will be ours in 2020”.
He added that “…we shouldn’t elect anybody at all but someone who is ready to win the seat and unify the party after election”.
Mr Acheampong express his burning desire to provide quality and dedicated leadership to the constituency and party as whole.
