Director of Communications at the Office of the President, Mr Eugene Arhin, has revealed that President Akufo-Addo has directed the Inspector General of Police to provide the erstwhile Special Prosecutor with a 24 hour police protection.
This follows after revelations by Mr Amidu of threats made against his life since his resignation from office as the Special Prosecutor of Ghana. Mr Amidu made these revelations in an interview with Citi News anchor Umaru Sanda Amadu.
Mr Arhin also encouraged Mr Amidu to assist the police with details of persons who have made these threats against his life so that they could be dealt with appropriately.
