Four out of the seven Guineans who were tested for Covid -19 in Tamale have tested negative.

The Northern Regional capital has so far recorded 10 cases of the virus, which, according to authorities, were all imported from neighbouring countries.

The ten persons include seven Guineans, two Burkinabes and one Togolese, all of whom travelled to Ghana using unapproved routes.

One of the Guineans, a lady, has since escaped.

Briefing the press on the latest development, the Northern Regional Health Director, Dr Jon B Eleeza, said, “We have given them the first phase of medication and they have completed it. We tested them and three came out positive while the remaining 4 tested negative.”

The Regional Health Director said the patients will be handed over to the Northern Regional Coordinating Council if the second testing comes out negative.
