OPEN LETTER TO NAANA OYE-LITHUR, SELF ACCLAIMED “GENDER ACTIVIST”
Dearly,
WHAT DO YOU SAY TO MR. MUNTAKA FOR SLAPPING A YOUNG FEMALE IN ASAWASI?
First of all, I want to believe that you are not in Ghana, or perhaps, you are here but you never heard that one Member of Parliament, in the person of Mr. Muntaka had given dirty slaps to a young female in Asawasi constituency over the ongoing limited registration exercise. Ok! Be it as it may; let us delve into the matter here since technology can allow me to reach out to you.
If my memory serves me right, we were here when you used state funds to mobilize hundreds of females in Ghana to go on demonstration over a comment passed by Hon. Kennedy Agyapong which in your judgement was against the dignity of females in general. As if that was not enough. You have been one critic of NPP government over everything which you do associate them with females which in your judgement again is not pleasant to the dignity of females. The recent one was the President objective comment passed on gender parity of which you made politics out of it.
Now, here comes a Member of Parliament who has been a Minister of state before, and currently doubles as the Minority Chief Whip in Parliament had slapped an innocent young female in the Asawasi constituency; and you have not utter a word. That is quite strange and seems to be an open hypocrisy. If you want some of us to take you serious as a true Gender Activist, then you ought to take off your political lense and condemn these open barbaric and deviant acts without any shred of fears.
Eeerrrmmm on a lighter note, I used “Mr. Muntaka” because what he did in my judgement disqualifies him to be called “HONORABLE”, and so you must take note of that part. Thank You
