The Eastern Regional Minister, Eric Kwakye Darfour has donated 65 bags of rice and 45bags of sugar to the Muslim Community in the Eastern Region to help them in the Ramadan period on Tuesday, 7th May, 2019 at the offical residence of the regional minister.
Speaking to the http://eveningmailgh.com after the donation, the Minister said the donation is to help members of the Muslim community who will find it difficult going through the Ramadan fast because of food to also get something to eat to enable them go through the process. He asked the Muslim community to use the period to pray for the government and for the success of the region.
On his part, Alhajj Ussif Amudani Suleimana, Eastern Regional Chief Imam who received the donation on behalf of the Muslim community thanked the Minister for the support. He used the opportunity to pray for the Minister and his team of staff at the Regional Coordinating Council and also prayed for the government.
