An aspiring National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) Financial Secretary, Lynn Willis, has donated some Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to the National Health Students Association of Ghana (NAHSAG).
This was her support to NAHSAG’s blood donation exercise held on Saturday September 5. The donation, according to Ms Willis, is also her support for the nation’s fight against the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The items include 250 face Shields, two boxes of nose masks, hand sanitizers among others.
Presenting the items, Ms Willis expressed her happiness to NAHSAG for the bold step taking in donating blood, even in an era of Covid-19.
“I’m proud of NAHSAG for this initiative even in this pandemic where such activities do not go on. I’m proud of NAHSAG executives for taking this bold decision to call on people to come and donate blood with all the preparations that went in,” she said.
She added that the donation is her fulfilment of scriptures in Paul’s letter to the Galatians which urges Christians to continue doing good always.
Appreciation
Receiving the items, President of NAHSAG, Moses Bondong, together with his executives, expressed appreciation to Ms Willis for the kind gesture.
“What you have done is more than enough for us, we really appreciate this,” he said.
He hinted that the group has plans to embark on more of such initiatives and called on all other well-meaning Ghanaians and student leaders to support the course.
