Twenty-one companies and three individuals have been honoured at the 9th Ghana Business Standard Awards held at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
The awards recognise organisations and business leaders demonstrating high standards, innovation, resilience, customer loyalty, corporate responsibility and industry excellence.
Speaking at the event, Chairperson of Everstone Energy, Kenneth Kwamina Thompson, urged businesses to place customers at the centre of their operations, stressing that good customer service remained critical to building sustainable businesses.
According to him, customers may be willing to overlook the limitations of a small business, but are unlikely to forgive poor treatment.
He therefore encouraged businesses to pay greater attention to the experiences of their customers as they pursue growth and profitability.
Awards
The 21 companies recognised were Atwima Kwanwoma Community Bank PLC, ADK Consortium, St John’s Hospital & Fertility Centre, DOSH Health Insurance, Sefwiman Community Bank PLC, Revoobit Sdn. Bhd., Multix Ltd, Ankobra West Community Bank PLC, Amenfiman Community Bank PLC, Sonotech Medical and Diagnostic Center, GLICO Group and Property DataBank Ghana Limited.
Others were Danerst Company Limited, aYo Intermediaries Ghana Ltd, Asawinso Community Bank PLC, Ramoth Services Limited, Tagwood Construction, Skones Security Limited, IPEC Trust Micro-Credit Enterprise, Victor Electronics and DXN Ghana Ltd.
Three business leaders were also recognised: Dr Kofi Addo-Agyekum, CEO of Kofikrom Pharmacy Limited; Samuel Bonsu Sekyere, CEO of Atwima Kwanwoma Community Bank PLC; and Kwasi Ameyaw, CEO of Asawinso Community Bank PLC.
The Ghana Business Standard Awards are organised to encourage businesses to adopt and improve standard processes, products and services while recognising organisations and individuals contributing to sustainable business growth.
