Chief Executive Officer of ADB Ghana Medicals Limited, Adann Benjamin Diaz
ADB Ghana Medicals Limited, a specialist Ghanaian healthcare company, is positioning itself to transform healthcare delivery through the provision of quality medical equipment, hospital engineering and infrastructure solutions in Ghana and across Africa.
Established in 2006 by Adann Benjamin Diaz, the company has grown from a medical supplies business into an integrated healthcare solutions provider, offering medical equipment supply, hospital engineering and construction, maintenance, servicing, consultancy and project management.
The company says its focus is to provide reliable, quality and affordable healthcare solutions while helping health facilities improve patient care.
Chief Executive Officer of ADB Ghana Medicals Limited, Adann Benjamin Diaz, said the company’s expansion has been guided by the belief that healthcare businesses must ultimately contribute to better patient outcomes.
“Our ambition is not simply to supply medical equipment. We want to build a company that provides solutions, develops expertise and contributes meaningfully to the infrastructure required for quality healthcare delivery in Ghana and across Africa,” he said.
Beyond Medical Supplies
Over the years, ADB Ghana Medicals has expanded its operations beyond the supply of medical products to include the planning, management and maintenance of hospital environments and systems.
Its services also cover turnkey hospital construction and medical equipment maintenance, allowing the company to provide integrated solutions to healthcare facilities.
One of its current healthcare infrastructure interventions is the development of a new specialist cardiology facility at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi.
According to the company, KATH has operated for decades without a catheterisation laboratory, requiring some patients needing specialist cardiac interventions to travel to Accra.
The new facility is intended to expand access to advanced cardiac care for patients in the Ashanti Region and other parts of the country.
African Expansion
Mr Diaz said the company’s long-term ambition is to establish ADB Ghana Medicals as a trusted Ghanaian healthcare solutions provider with a strong presence beyond Ghana.
The company plans to expand into other West African markets and eventually deepen its footprint across the continent.
“We believe indigenous companies have an important role to play in solving Africa’s healthcare challenges. Our responsibility is to build the expertise, systems and partnerships that allow us to deliver at the highest possible standard,” Mr Diaz said.
ADB Ghana Medicals says it intends to measure its success not only by commercial growth but also by the quality, reliability and impact of the healthcare solutions it provides.
