Addressing a enthusiastic crowd of supporters during a campaign rally in Kumawu, President Akufo-Addo declared the upcoming by-elections in Kumawu as a pivotal starting point for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in securing victory in the 2024 general elections. Expressing confidence in the NPP’s chances, the President emphasized the significance of the by-election in shaping the party’s trajectory leading up to the 2024 polls.

During his speech, President Akufo-Addo highlighted the strategic importance of the Kumawu constituency, stating that its support and momentum would reverberate nationwide, propelling the NPP towards victory in 2024. He urged the people of Kumawu to mobilize their supporters, be vigilant, and actively participate in the democratic process.

The President endorsed Ernest Yaw Anim, the NPP candidate for the by-election, as the best choice to represent the constituency. He expressed confidence that Anim would secure victory and work towards progress, development, and peace in Kumawu.

In addition to discussing the upcoming by-elections, President Akufo-Addo touched upon various achievements and developments under his administration. He emphasized the strides made in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, noting that all restrictions had been lifted to facilitate the bounce-back of the economy. The President reaffirmed his government’s commitment to revitalizing the economy and fostering growth.

The President also celebrated the recent approval received from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), referring to it as “great news.” He attributed the fast approval of the IMF loan to the tireless efforts and compelling case presented by his government.

President Akufo-Addo reiterated that his administration had fulfilled a substantial amount of work in line with its campaign promises. He urged Ghanaians to grant the NPP the mandate in the 2024 elections, allowing the party to continue its progress and accomplishments.

Accompanied by several high-ranking party officials, including National Chairman Stephen Ntim, General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua, and National Organizer Henry Nana Boakye, the President’s presence at the campaign rally underscored the NPP’s determination to secure victory in Kumawu and lay the foundation for success in the upcoming general elections.
