For the first time in the 8-year running of Joe Mettle ‘s ‘Praise Reloaded’, I attended this year’s edition – ‘Wind of Revival’.
I have had too many ‘gbai gbai’ and ‘bussh’ bussh’ events over the years. This was spirited-filled and uplifting. Like Saul on the road to Damascus, I saw the light and heard a voice (say Amen la)!
After the event, I went home with an admixture of emotions; excitement and disappointment.
Excitement because it was such an awesome event; with every element of event organization checked with near distinction; attendance, technical detail, performance, coordination, fluidity and security.
Disappointment because of the lack of support for these hardworking gospel folks and the dearth of spotlight on that fraternity.
An extensive write-up will be in Graphic Showbiz on Thursday. Buy the spirit-filled paper.
Approbation to the Joe mettle ministries and the entire team that put this together, and oh, it was such a delight to see other Artistes Managers of other gospel musicians galvanize their efforts to make this work. God bless you guys. Charlie, God is sweet oo!
