The Ghana Ambulance Service and some health facilities in the country have benefited from donation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) by the Oheneba Kasempa Enterprise, producers of Original Abensuo Ginger drink.
The beneficiaries include Amanfrom Health Centre, Kaneshie Polyclinic and Ga West Municipal Hospital, all in the Greater Accra Region, and Obo Health Centre, in the Kwahu South District of the Eastern Region.
The items, all costing about GH₵ 175,000, include hand gloves, face masks, goggles, coverall for front line workers as well as hand sanitizers produced by the company.
At a short ceremony to present the items to Obo Health Centre, the General Manager of the company, Eric Owusu Gyimah, on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer, Alex Tenkorang, said the company decided to help the various health institutions because they cannot been left to their fate in these trying moments.
The Kwahu South District Director of Health Service, Kwaku Owusu, receiving the items in the company of the Kwahu South District Chief Executive, Emmanuel Atta Ofori Snr, and a delegation from the Obo Traditional Council, expressed their heart-felt gratitude to Mr Alex Tenkorang for his consistent philanthropic gestures for the facility.
Mr Owusu further pleaded with the company, other individuals and corporate organisations to continue to support them in fighting the deadly pandemic.
