Deputy National Women’s Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hajia Safia Mohammed, has intensified her nationwide campaign to become the party’s next National Women’s Organiser, taking her message of unity, empowerment and grassroots inclusion to delegates across the country.
Her latest engagements have taken her through the Upper West, Bono and Ahafo regions as the October 3, 2026, National Officers’ Elections in Kumasi draw closer.
Throughout the tour, Hajia Safia has engaged Women Organisers, TESCON Women Commissioners, youth and other party members, listening to their concerns and outlining her plans for the Women’s Wing.
Empowerment and Inclusion
Central to her campaign is a pledge to build a stronger and more inclusive Women’s Wing that creates greater opportunities for women while strengthening their participation at all levels of the party.
In the Upper West Region, she held interactions with delegates centred on empowerment, inclusion and opportunities for women, while her campaign described the reception as encouraging.
Her campaign subsequently moved to the Bono Region, where women, youth and other party supporters participated in engagements focused on strengthening unity and ensuring that women at the grassroots play a meaningful role in the party’s rebuilding efforts.
Hajia Safia maintained that women should not only be relied upon for political mobilisation but should also be empowered and provided opportunities to contribute meaningfully to the party.
Unity and Hard Work
Taking the campaign to the Ahafo Region, Hajia Safia reinforced her message that progress within the party would require unity and hard work.
She met Women Organisers, party members and TESCON Women Commissioners, using the engagements to listen to their concerns and reiterate her commitment to grassroots-centred leadership.
Her campaign has presented the nationwide outreach as an opportunity to engage directly with the women whose interests the National Women’s Organiser is expected to represent.
Hajia Safia, who currently serves as Deputy National Women’s Organiser, is seeking elevation to lead the Women’s Wing at the NPP’s National Delegates Conference in Kumasi on October 3.
She is number one on the ballot in the National Women’s Organiser contest.
