The Member of Parliament for the North Tongu Constituency, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has written to notify the Attorney General and Minister of Justice of his intentions to proceed to court to compel the Minister of National Security to furnish parliament with the security report of the state. The Evening Mail can confirm.
According to the North Tongu Legislator several attempt to get the National Security Minister to do the needful have proved futile compelling him to choose the current option.
In the letter signed by his lawyer Mr. James Agalga of the Law Temple:Barristers and Solicitors, and copied to the president he stated that “we have the instructions of our client Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for the North Tongu Constituency, to serve you notice under section 10 of the State Proceedings Act 1998 (Act 555) of his intention to sue to enforce compliance with section 17(2) of the Security and Intelligence Agencies Act 1996.
