The National Women organiser of the ruling New patriotic party (NPP), Madam Kate Abena Gyamfua has vowed to seek justice for Hajia Zeinab.
Hajia Zeinab, an NPP Asawase constituency activist was beaten by the Asawase Member of Parliament, Hon. Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak during the limited voter registration exercise recently.
Report says that Mr. Muntaka slapped and mercilessly beat Madam Zeinab who tried to prevent him from registering a minor. Though Mr. Muntaka was invited by the police for interrogation, nothing much has been done for justice to be served.

However, the NPP Women organiser has assured the lady in question and her family that her office will work hard with the country’s security agencies to make sure justice is served.

Madam Gyamfuah gave the assurance during a three days tour to the Ashanti Region with her deputy, Hajia Sawudatu. The team from the women’s wing took the opportunity to pay a visit to Hajia Zenab and her family at Aboabo to console her.

She emphasized that the NPP will not turn its back on her and assured that they will continue to foot all her hospital bills. She also presented a personal cash of Two thousand Ghana Cedis (2,000) to her.
Meanwhile, Hajia Zeinab on her part, promised not to be frightened by the incident, stating that, she will continue to work hard for the party when she recovers.
