A former NPP constituency chairman for New Juaben North, Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang, has raised serious concerns regarding any political campaign advocating calling on Ghanaians to support the candidacy of former President John Dramani Mahama.
In a statement, Mr Agyemang contended that such a campaign not only lacks merit but also undermines the esteemed integrity of the Ghanaian people.
He indicated that Mr Mahama’s previous presidency was marred by poor performance, widespread incompetence and the most globally purported “scandal king of the moment”.
He further argued that promoting Mr Mahama’s return to power disregards the hardships Ghanaians endured during his administration and insults the intelligence of the electorate.
“Throughout his tenure, John Mahama faced criticism for perceived governance failures and a lack of decisive leadership. From economic mismanagement to infrastructural deficiencies, his administration encountered numerous challenges that significantly impacted the nation. The enduring effects of the power crisis under his leadership remains a poignant memory for many Ghanaians,” he stated.
