According to Daasebre, violence retards development, and should therefore not be entertained by any individual or group that wants development.

He added that it also put financial burdens on families, communities and the country as a whole.

The Kwahuhene embarked on a week-long familiarisation visit to some towns and villages in the Kwahu Afram Plains area. Among the places visited are Tease, Maame Krobo, Abomasarefo, Agodeke and Kwae Kɛse.

Other places visited are the boundaries between Kwahu, Volta and the Bono regions, the Forifori Camp Prison and some selected large-scale farms.

Durbars of chiefs and the public were organised at various communities in his honour.

He assured the people of Afram Plains that the myriad of concerns raised during his visit will be referred to the appropriate authorities for redress.

The visit was climaxed with a traditional council meeting at Tease in the Afram Plains South district. The meeting was also attended by all municipal and district chief executives (MDCEs) in the Kwahu enclave.

Daasebre tasked the MDCEs to work together with the traditional council to curtail the increasing bushfires around the Odweanoma Mountain and other areas.

He also urged parents to take advantage of the government’s free SHS policy to educate their wards, saying education is the surest guarantee to a prosperous future.
