An aspirant for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary seat in Wassa Amenfi West, Ignatius Kwasi Afrifa, has underscored the significance of unity and diversity in the quest for prosperity and transformation in the area.
Addressing party loyalists and supporters after submitting his nomination forms at the Amenfi West party office in Asankrangua, he stressed the importance of collaboration and inclusiveness in driving development.
“The diversity we have in Amenfi West is a precious gift from God, and we should not underestimate its significance. Instead, we must harness this diversity as a source of strength to attract the much-needed development our constituency deserves,” he stated.
Mr. Afrifa expressed his unwavering dedication to this vision, urging all stakeholders to work collectively for the advancement of the region.
Commending the peaceful coexistence and tolerance among supporters, he emphasized that every part of the constituency relies on each other for survival.
Respecting Differences
He, therefore, called upon party faithful, opinion leaders, religious figures, and all residents of Amenfi West to respect each other’s differences. He stressed that the marginalization of any part of the constituency must be avoided, and unity and peace should prevail throughout the election period.
Addressing the developmental challenges faced by Wassa Amenfi West, Mr. Afrifa identified a recurring voting pattern as a contributing factor. He indicated that it is time for a new party and a pragmatic, unifying representative to break this cycle and bring about transformation and development.
He pledged to champion the cause of progress and work tirelessly to ensure that the constituents’ voices are heard at the highest levels of governance.
“Let us look beyond our partisan interests and instead focus on the growth of the constituency by choosing a leader with a unifying spirit. Let’s look for someone who can bring all the people together; one with both domestic and international networks. We must find a person who’s competent and outspoken to represent Wassa Amenfi West in Parliament for the much-awaited development,” he urged.
Meanwhile, Frank Lincoln Essah, the only contender to Kwasi Afrifa, has withdrawn from the race and thrown his support behind him. He has called on all supporters to rally behind Mr. Kwasi Afrifa to lead the NPP to win the Amenfi West Parliamentary seat in the next election.
