A Deputy National Women Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mimi Duah, has emphasized that the party will not allow the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to deceive Ghanaians with false information about the achievements of the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government. Speaking at a forum organized by the intellectual wing of the party, TESCON Ladies, at the University of Ghana, Ms Duah highlighted the NDC’s grand propaganda scheme aimed at diverting attention from the positive policies of the current government.
Addressing the TESCON Ladies at the Amegashie Auditorium, the youngest Deputy Women Organiser urged the students to work diligently, demonstrating a high level of commitment, to help the party achieve a historic feat by breaking the 8-year cycle of ruling parties in the Fourth Republic. She stressed the importance of their role as youth within the party and encouraged them to collaborate with the National Youth Organizer and other party structures to ensure the NPP’s continuity beyond 2024.
Ms Duah commended the government for its notable achievements, including the establishment of the Ghana Enterprise Agency, the provision of Guarantor-Free Student Loans, the allocation of Covid-19 relief funds, and various other interventions. She expressed optimism that with collective efforts and effective communication of the government’s policies to the Ghanaian populace, the NPP will garner the support and votes needed to secure victory in the general elections of December 2024, fulfilling their agenda to break the 8-year cycle of governance.
