Nana Acheampong and Daddy Lumba

Veteran highlife musician Ernest Owoahene Nana Acheampong, widely known as Nana Acheampong, has hinted of the comeback of the famous Lumba Brothers.

Nana Acheampong says he’s currently working on a song with Daddy Lumba which will soon be released.

Speaking in an interview on Kumasi based Akuma FM, the Champion Lover Boy, as he is affectionately called, said he is currently in the studios with Daddy Lumba.

“Daddy Lumba and I are still in the studios. We took a break and we’ve now decided to return to the studios this 2020. We’re working this out. Lumba Brothers comeback will be something special so when we’re back, whatever we put out there should be big. We’re still working on it and this year will be big for our fans,” he stated

Shatta collabo

On working with dancehall star Shatta Wale, Nana Acheampong said: “A collaboration with Shatta Wale is something I’m planning to do. It’s still in the pipeline so I can’t really say much on it. My team is currently working on getting Shatta Wale to work with me on one of my projects.”

Nana Acheampong is known for his unique craft on the microphone.

He is also the other half of the famous Lumba Brothers who popularised Burger highlife in Ghana.

 

 

Bola Ray breaks silence on death of his executive secretary

The chief executive officer of the EIB Network, Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi, popularly known as Bola Ray, has taken to social media to mourn the shocking death of his long-serving executive secretary, Laillah-Crystal Banda.

The soft-spoken Crystal passed at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital on Friday evening where she had been on admission after a sudden ailment.

In a Facebook post, Bola Ray said he has struggled to come to terms with the demise of his secretary.

“It has taken me days to find the right words to process your exit. I have struggled to come to terms with the fact that you are no more. Valentine’s Day will never be the same again, not that any other day would’ve sufficed. I was never ready for your exit Crystal. Nothing could have prepared me for this.

“I am numb and still in total disbelief. I do however know that my heart aches and that I, my family, EIB, Empire, and your countless friends have lost a real one. Yours was a life passionately and selflessly lived. Forever in our hearts.”

Crystal is believed to have worked with Bola Ray for over 10 years, having been with him through the emergence of Empire Entertainment among other endeavours of the celebrity entrepreneur.

She was 38.
