The New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate for the Akwatia constituency, Ernest Kumi, has stated that the many successes achieved by the Akufo-Addo government has made it easy for the party to win a second term bid.

According to him, with the impressive performance of the government in sectors such as education, health, economy, agriculture, among others, members of the NPP only need unity to consolidate the party’s gains and expand the margin of victory.

Mr Kumi was speaking at the launch of the Maidens, an all ladies group sympathetic to the cause of the NPP, in the Akwatia constituency last week.

The launch followed a week of intensive house-to-house campaign embarked upon by the group in the area ahead of the general election.

The Akwatia Constituency Coordinator of the group, Abena Dokua, explained that members of the group comprises past female executives of all Tertiary Education Confederacy (TESCON) of NPP chapters in the country.
