Nana B presents citation to Sir John
The youth wing of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has honoured the Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, and the Chief of Staff at the Office of the President, Mrs Akosua Frema Opare-Osei, for their contribution towards the growth of the wing.
The two, described by the National Youth Organiser of the party, Henry Nana Boakye, as “towering figures”, were given citations by the youth wing at separate meetings.
According to Nana B, as the party’s youth organiser is affectionately called, the two have guided the growth of the party’s youth wing to its current pedigree, hence the honour.
“I visited the Chief of Staff of the Republic, Hon. Frema Opare-Osei, to commend her for the tremendous support and contributions to the development of the NPP National Youth Wing. I presented, on behalf of the National Youth Wing, a special Citation in recognition of her priceless efforts towards the development of the National Youth Wing all these years.
On a similar mission, I met with former Chief Scribe of the NPP and Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission, Hon. Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, aka ‘Sir John’, and presented the National Youth Wing’s special Citation to him for his immeasurable contributions to the cause of the Youth Wing,” Nana B said in a Facebook post.
