This year’s season of love was marked with much joy in the Asuogyaman Constituency in the Eastern Region as an industrious son of the area, Mr. Paul Ansah decided to celebrate this year’s Valentine’s Day in the area with Basic School pupils.
About 4000 pupils and teachers from over 20 schools in the area benefitted from the show of love, when he presented exercise books, chocolate confectionary and drinks to them.
Mr. Paul Ansah, a former boss of the Ghana Ports and Harbour Authority and now the Technical Advisor to the Ministry of Transport, in his speech admonished the pupils to extend same love to their parents at home.
He advised the teachers to teach children out of love since it is out of love that they accepted postings to the rural communities. He further added his voice to the ban on caning in basic schools in Ghana by the GES, saying that teachers can adopt harmless ways of punishing deviant pupils.
Mr. Ansah called on all Ghanaians to be committed to the course of the nation by supporting the policies and projects of the government.
He stated that the government is committed to fulfilling it’s manifesto promises within the four-year electoral mandate.
