Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality show Season 7 winner, Ijeoma Otabor, known as Phyna has said it took her five years before making it to the Big Brother House.
Phyna, who won the show, last year took home a $216,048 (N100m) grand prize – a cash prize of ₦50million and ₦50million worth of prizes from the sponsors.
Speaking to Naa Ashorkor on Asaase Radio Phyna said: “I saw it as something I really wanted, when you want something, you go for it. It took me five years,” she said.
“I actually took an interest in Big Brother when I was 20 years. So, I went for the audition, and after waiting for a long time in the queue, it got to my turn, they asked me how old am I. I said 20 years, they said you are not qualified. So, I had to wait till I was 21, I auditioned at 22 years, 23 years, 24 years, and 25 years before qualifying to enter the BBNaija House,” Phyna disclosed.
