Paapa Owusu-Ankomah
Residents of Sekondi-Takoradi are fervently praying for Paapa Owusu-Ankomah’s speedy recovery from Covid-19 infection, after overcoming their initial shock.
People from all walks of life, especially those in the Sekondi constituency, where the country’s High Commissioner to United Kingdom served as a Member of Parliament for many years, are on their knees praying for the ‘Home Boy.’
They strongly believe that with their prayers and effective management by British health officials, no calamity would befall “our darling”. Some of the residents can, however, still not bring themselves to believe that Paapa Owusu-Ankomah has been tested positive.
Paapa Owusu Ankomah was on Friday reportedly diagnosed with the novel coronavirus.
Reports say after testing positive for the Covid-19, he was initially sent to the intensive care unit in a London hospital.
He is said to be responding to treatment, after being discharged from the intensive care unit.
