Insurance giants Star Life Assurance has donated assorted items to some flood victims in the Upper East Region. A heavy downpour in the month of October 2019, in the Kassena /Nankana, Builsa South, Bawku, Bongo and Garu Tempane districts caused the areas to flood, rendering many homeless and lost of properties.
Items donated to the flood victims included, Clothes, gari , confectionery like this way drink and many others.
The insurance company as part of its widow’s mite contribution to the socio-economic wellbeing of the affected people as well as the company’s corporate social responsibility made these donations to communities within the Kassena/Nankana and Sandema Districts of the Upper East Region.
The recipient communities of Manyoro, Zogsa, Yikpieng, Jansa and Kaasa expressed their profound show gratitude to star life and added that they were actually living up to their name star life . “In fact we are really happy about the love you have showed to us especially the gari,the soup, the clothes and the thisway only hot water, it is our prayers that, whatever that was given to us ,may the Good lord replenish it. And may you receive it back in doubles” A community leader added.
At Manyoro, another beneficiary community, An opinion leader said “On behalf of the chief and his elders of Manyoro traditional area, the assembly members, the flood victims and the entire community wish to express our profound gratitude to Star life Insurance for the love you have showed to us. You are indeed, a company that cares about people’s lives. The victims were so happy with the donation especially, the gari and sugar. Most of them started enjoying it right there after sharing on that day. Our chief, PE, Dr. Atudiwe Atudipaare Pwakweah Manchi III is so happy and said ” My people, always remember those who stand by your side when you are in difficulties, keep praying for them all the time “. In fact, we are lack of words to express our gratitude. God bless you all.
On the part of Star life Assurance, James Kwabena Pwasam Bolga branch manager who presented the items on behalf of the company expressed his gratitude to Management and Staff of Head Office for the relief items that were donated to the flood victims in the Upper East Region.
