Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale must be tamed to avoid Ghana’s version of Tupac vs BIG-Deputy Minister

A Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Member of Parliament for the Akyem Swedru Constituency, Kennedy Osei Nyarko, has stated that Ghana as a  country should “start cracking the whip on some of these Music Artistes whose actions and inactions threaten the security of this country” before they get out of hand.

According to the Deputy Minister, American music duo Tupac Shakur and Notorious BIG (Biggie Smalls)’s beef started like this but the American security ignored their continuous acrimony on each other until it got out of hand.

Tupac and Notorious BIG

Tupac Shakur and Notorious BIG were friends before they became staunch enemies in the American Music industry. The rivalry between the two grew to the point where no one could control it until both were shot dead as a results of the acrimony.

The Tupac vs BIG rivalry also known as the East Coast–West Coast hip hop rivalry was a feud between artists and fans of the East Coast hip hop and West Coast hip hop scenes in the United States, especially from 1994 to 1997.

The rivalry got out of hand when East Coast–based rapper The Notorious B.I.G. and West Coast–based rapper Tupac Shakur were both murdered in drive-by shootings. Orlando Anderson (a.k.a. Baby Lane) is believed to be the person responsible for the murder of Shakur. However, the person responsible for the murder of The Notorious B.I.G. remains unknown.
