GOODWILL MESSAGE FROM OBAATANPA KATE GYAMFUA
I am extremely grateful for another opportunity to celebrate women- the backbone of human existence.
On this day as we celebrate the social, cultural, economic and political successes of every woman across the globe,I urge all women to use this opportunity to reflect on the need to attain gender equality and equity in all spheres of life.
This year’s theme, Balance for better urges all of us to be inspired, bold, challenge stereotypes and strive to achieve a world of equal or better opportunites for women.
As the popular adage goes :- The rise of women is not about the fall of man, rather it should be considered as an alliance of sexes to create an existence suitable for their needs.
Beyond individual interest/preferences let’s collectively be a shoulder for each other as women, for together “There is no limit to what we, as women can accomplish”- Michelle Obama.
Happy International Women’s Day !!!
