Ghanaian Rapper and Fashion Designer, Maradona Yeboah Adjei known by the stage name Guru has sent a word of advise to artistes who have been nominated into the various categories of the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Scheme.
According to the “Lapaz Toyoto” Hitmaker, nominees should not be too much expectants since anything at all can happen on the night. Using himself as an example, he said that his 7 hit songs in a year could not fetch him a single award.
Guru sees disappointment as part of the game hence to those artistes and fans who are expecting to be honoured with the various awards in the nominated categories should not be dismayed and amused when the awards are swept by different artistes.
VGMA Awards Night is an event organised by Charterhouse annually. Artistes are nominated into various categories to be voted on by the masses as the board in charge of awarding also have their percentage. Both artistes and fans usually are of high spirits expecting to win in the nominated categories.
