Hip life Musician and Youth Employment Agency Ambassador, Wendy Shay has apologised to former President John Agyekum Kufuor, the Board and Management of the agency.

Former President Kufuor

Social media was awashed with images of the former President and some Ghanaian celebrities. What got many talking was the kind of dress Uber Driver hitmaker Wendy Shay wore and the posture she sat with the former President for a picture.

The former President is seen in the picture looking at the ‘half naked’ body of the artiste.

Many social media users have ridiculed the former President saying the picture has vindicated Wendy Shay who stated in her hit song uber driver that “Kufuor pɛ hwɛ” literally meaning Kufour likes looking at women.

Board’s Disappointment

This got the board of the agency to express their disappointment in what happened.

The Chairman of the board of the Agency, Mr. Sammy Awuku expressed his disappointment over the pictures that have been circulated on social media following the visit to the former President John Agyekum Kufour by management and ambassadors of the agency.

In a post on his Facebook wall, the YEA Board Chairman said the kind of feedback that has flooded social media was “definitely not the kind of publicity and feedback the Board of YEA expected after the visit of the YEA Ambassadors and Management to Former Prez. Kufuor.”

Mr. Awuku also urged Management of the agency to ensure that Ambassadors stick to the Highest Level of Professionalism when paying such courtesy calls.

Taking to Facebook, the musician stated that “On the 4th of July, 2019, I posted an image of myself and His Excellency Former President John Agyekum Kuffour on my social media timeline. This was after I visited him with my fellow Youth Employment Agency Ambassadors officially. The image I posted went viral on social media for the wrong reasons and I will wish to render an unqualified apology to His Excellency and the board and Management of the Youth Employment Agency.”

“I had no intention of bringing his good image into any public disrepute. I would wish to apologize to the general public as well with most of the comments being directed to my outfit.” She said.

Learning
Wendy Shay stated that she is a young lady who is still learning and will definitely learn from such mistakes.

“I am a young lady and I am still learning. To err is human, to forgive is divine. I promise to do better next time.”
