Mr George Kwame Aboagye, Member of Parliament for Asene Manso Akroso in the Eastern Region, has presented sanitary kits to the district’s Health Directorate in support of the fight against the novel coronavirus, COVID-19 in the area.
The items include Veronica buckets, plastic bowls, bottles of liquid soap, dozens of tissue papers and over 1000 sanitizers.
Presenting the items, the MP commended the health directorate for educating residents on the disease and asked them to continue with their public education.
He also advised Ghanaians to follow all the laid down measures to help stop the spread of the pandemic which include regular exercise, observing social distancing, avoiding over crowded places and regular washing of hands with soap under running water as well as maintaining proper personal hygiene.
Mr George Kwame Aboagye further asked the residents to support the health directorate by reporting any suspected case to them on time.
Mr Kwadwo Owusu Ansah,Asene Manso Akroso District Director of Health who received the items on behalf of the health directorate thanked the MP for the gesture and promised to distribute them to all the appropriate institutions in the area.
He advised the general public to also donate towards the support of the fight against COVID-19.
