The leadership of the Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG National) on Wednesday 18th December, 2019 paid a courtesy call on the Executive Director of the Ghana National Petroleum Commission (GNPC) Foundaation, Dr. Dominic Eduah.
The visit was to among other things afford GRASAG the opportunity to interact and build on the existing relationship between the two organisations.
GRASAG led by its General Secretary, Kwasi Frimpong, used the occassion to present to the GNPC Executive Director a proposal for its upcoming afforestation programme, the GRASAG Green Campaign.
They also used the opportunity to discuss issues of Graduate Research Funding, scholarship opportunities for postgraduate students, involvement of graduate students in skills development programmes organised by the foundation among others.
The Executve Director, assured GRASAG of the foundation’s total commitment to activities of student unions. He expressed delight that GRASAG has visited his office.
“Almost all the students groups have come here, I am happy that GRASAG has also followed suit,” said Dr. Eduah.
He assured GRASAG that the foundation will study the proposal presented to them and respond to it in due time adding that the bond between the two organisations will continue to exist.
He used the opportunity to congratulate the newly elected GRASAG National leaders and advised them to leave up to the expectation for which they were voted for.
