The Eastern Regional Minister, Eric Kwakye Darfour, has inspected some ongoing developmental projects in Kwahu West Municipality to ascertain the progress of work.

The projects include a six-unit classroom block and three-storey teachers’ model apartments to accommodate 12 teachers at Aprewhem and a six-unit classroom block at Ekoso.

He also took a contractor who has been selected to construct nine teachers bungalows in the area to inspect the site earmarked for the project before official sod cutting is done.

The Minister, who is also the MP for Nkawkaw, handed over a refurbished three-unit classroom block belonging to Kwamang M A Basic School to the municipal education directorate.

The roof of the school building was ripped off by rainstorms some few months ago, forcing Mr Darfour to quickly intervene to make it ready for final year students who will be returning to school today to prepare for their exit exams.

Mr Darfour also donated 2,000 dual desks to the education directorate for onward distribution to the schools that in need of furniture.

In addition to the desks, the Minister also presented some face masks and hand sanitizers to the headmistress of Kwamang M A Basic School to be given to the pupils.

The Municipal Director of Education, Daniel Yeboah Yienno, thanked the Minister and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the massive investment made in the education sector.

The Municipal Coordinating Director, Alhaji Issa Musa, who represented the Municipal Chief Executive, thanked the MP for his quick response to the distress call by the school. He charged the education directorate to do their best to ensure that the students who will be writing their exit exams produce the best form of results.
