Joseph Frimpong, MP for Nkawkaw

The people of Nkawkaw constituency have expressed appreciation to the Member of Parliament of the area, Joseph Frempong, for what they say is a “splendid performance in his few months in office.”

According to the residents, they are overwhelmed with the rate at which MP is fulfilling his campaign promises.

The MP has so far helped about 15,000 residents to either renew or register for the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

He has also donated modern electric beds to the health directorate in the Nkawkaw municipality and paid hospital bills of needy patients who could not pay their bills. The MP made available GH₡10,000 for this venture.

Other achievement

Aside from health, the MP has provided about 150 sewing machines and 100 dryers to seamstress and hairdressing apprentices, respectively, who graduated from their trade recently.

In the education sector, schools such as St Francis, Awenade, Anglican, Opinamang and others have been assisted with bags of cement for rehabilitation. He has also helped needy students in his constituency through payment of school fees and provision of other assistance.

Some chiefs in the constituency have also expressed their appreciation to the MP for the good work he is doing in the area. Their appreciation follows provision of bags of cements, iron sheets, street light bulbs, among others, to the communities for various developmental projects.

The MP, whose handiwork touches all sectors, has also been praised by farmers in the area. This follows the provision of agricultural inputs such as cutlasses, wellington boots, palm seedlings and others to them. Some farmers have also been assisted financially to boost their work.

Peace and unity

The MP has also united the rank and file of the governing NPP in the area. The party was divided ahead of the 2020 general elections following disagreements and allegations levelled against one another ahead of the party’s parliamentary primaries. But the MP has extended open arms to all members of the party, and provided a reconciliatory platform to deal with all dissenting issues.

Unlike other MPs, he has also been consistent in visiting the constituency regularly to ensure he has first-hand information on challenges facing the area.
