The University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) chapter of the Tertiary Education Students Confederacy of the New Patriotic Party (TESCON) has honoured a former National First Vice-Chairman of the party, Stephen Ayensu Ntim, for his continuous support to the party and its student chapter.
In a citation presented to Mr Ntim at his office in Accra yesterday, the group noted that the instrumental role played by the NPP stalwart in helping the party and the constant support to TESCON, especially the UENR chapter, cannot go unnoticed.
“This is in recognition of your wonderful support to TESCON, UENR Chapter, of the New Patriotic Party and your exemplary leadership as our father and mentor who contributed in diverse ways towards the 2019/2020 academic year.
“We eulogise your great deal of commitment and contribution and we present this as a token in appreciation. May you continue to be able to be a blessing unto TESCON-UENR and the NPP fanatics,” the citation read.
Hard work
Mr Ntim, after expressing his appreciation to the group, urged them to work hard for the party’s victory in the upcoming elections. He noted that the party cannot afford to fail Ghanaians by losing the 2020 general elections.
Philip Afum, President of TESCON-UENR, stated that the decision for the presentation was to acknowledge the contribution of Mr Ntim to the party and TESCON.
He reiterated the call on the youth in the party to go all out and work hard for the party to retain the presidential seat for the second term and increase its number of seats in Parliament.
