NPP National Women Organiser, Kate Gyamfua, presenting the items to the hospital

The National Women’s Organizer of the governing New Patriotic Party, Kate Gyamfua, last Sunday paid a working visit to the Upper East Region where she made some donation to the Bawku Presbyterian Hospital.

The items donated included wheel chairs, detergents and tissue papers, among other needs.

Presenting the items, Ms Gyamfua cautioned staff of the hospital to observe the COVID-19 protocols as announced by the President, the Ghana Health Service and the World Health Organisation.

Medical Superintendent of the hospital receiving the items thanked the NPP women organizer for the kind gesture.

 

Interaction with party members

Ms Gyamfua, after the donation, also met with various constituency women organisers in the region.

Georgina Ayamba, Upper East Regional Women’s Organizer of the NPP, in her welcome address at the brief party meeting, thanked the national women organiser for her continuous support to the party and the women’s wing in the region.

She also commended the constituency Women organizers for their cooperation and support, urging them to continue to collaborate as partners fighting a worthy cause to come out victorious into the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections.

Ms Gyamfua on her part, acknowledged the hard work of the women’s wing in the region and called upon them to remain steadfast as government rolls out measures and policies to protect and support them in these trying times.

She reminded the women on the need to create awareness among constituents in positively responding to their mandate to register when the Electoral Commission begins the upcoming new voters’ registration and do so in their numbers in order to exercise their franchise come elections 2020.

In attendance at the meeting was Lawyer Anthony Namoo, Upper East Regional Chairman of the NPP, and a several other party big wigs in the region.
